1967

The University Art Collection is celebrating the University’s 50th anniversary by focusing specifically on the cultural impact of 1967, the year the University opened its doors to students for the first time.

The Pathfoot building, which was the first and only teaching building on campus as the students arrived, is hosting a series of exhibitions whose visual focus of the exhibitions is Music, Art, Film/Photography, Fashion, Furnishing and Architecture.
As a part of the exhibition we are invited University of Stirling academics to contribute short essays on what was happening in their area of expertise in 1967 to provide a broader view of the era.   This blog showcases their contributions.
